Adult worms only
reach about 7mm in length when fully developed.
They live in the stomach causing irritation and
damage to the stomach lining whilst heavy infestations
can cause loss of appetite and diarrhoea. The hairworm
population is normally controlled by routine worming
for redworms. It should be noted that Stomach Hair
Worms can also infect sheep, pigs and cattle.
